Welcome to my test ground. I'm testing whether I want to be chained to my desktop writing a book about my downunder adventures and experiences - or whether I'm just capable of short bursts on this blog when a topic catches fire.
I write for a living - website content and feature magazine articles, mainly. I am a good wordsmith and proofreader, so I often get asked to write marketing strategies and update brochure copy. When you do this 24 X 7, it is often difficult to stay on the keyboard and write another thousand words for a book.
This blog is a test to see if on a Sunday night I can peck out a few words to describe what it was like to make a sea change at age 55, to change countries, to start up a new business, and to fall in love with a remote, unspoilt strip of white sand and sparkling water that would change the course of my detour down under...
