Welcome to a Better Place to Be

Great plaque, hanging above my local pub and brewery in Lake Placid. When you go upstairs to the dining deck, overlooking Mirror Lake in the center of town, there is another great plaque. "Beer. The reason we get up every afternoon."
Needless to say, I've found a new watering hole and an amber beer I love called "46 Indian Pale Ale." The 46 refers to the number of local high peaks over 4000 feet. When you drink the beer, you lose your intentions to get started on the list of those still to be hiked :>) It's a fine craft beer, brewed right there on the premises. I may never leave...

Another reason for root setting here in North Country is an apartment bldg. I'm thinking of buying for its name. The plaque I'm hanging over the mantle says "All who wander are not lost."
